Noreen O'Brien Brohl, MSW, is a
school social worker for the Allen Park School District in Michigan.
She has held faculty positions at Children's Hospital of Michigan and
Wayne State University School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics.
In 1998 she was awarded School Social Worker of the Year for the State
of Michigan, and in 2000 was chosen as TLC's Trauma Consultant of the
Year. Mrs. Brohl Coordinates the Emergency Response Team in her school
district, and has organized and implemented the Downriver Trauma Team
which spans an eight-city area. Since the 9/11 terrorist attack, Mrs.
Brohl and Dr. Steele have collaborated to create a protocol that will
help schools respond to terrorism called Schools' Response to Terrorism.
Ms. Brohl teaches Trauma Response
Teams in Schools, Trauma Debriefing in Schools and Agencies, and Suicide
